Privacy policy

Effective November 5, 2026

4DUI Defense is part of Drivers Legal Defense, P.C. This policy covers 4duidefense.com. FirmPoint provides website and technical intake services for the firm. It does not replace any separate agreement for legal representation.

This update adds optional Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, including session recordings on selected public pages. These tools remain off until you allow measurement through our shared privacy notice.

Information we collect and use

Send contact details and a short description only. Do not submit identification documents, financial information, medical records, detailed allegations or other confidential materials through this form. An inquiry does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship or request a DMV hearing.

Cloudflare also supplies cookie-free website performance analytics, such as page-load and browser performance metrics. This is separate from optional Google and Microsoft measurement and may run before a privacy choice. Cloudflare describes its collection in its Web Analytics documentation.

Sharing and service providers

Requests are delivered to the firm’s designated email inbox and Clio Grow intake system. Authorized staff may also use FirmPoint’s private lead-management tools. Providers include Cloudflare for hosting, security and delivery, FirmPoint for technical intake and reporting, Google Workspace for email, and Clio for intake and case administration. They receive information needed for these services. The form currently routes to melad@driverslegaldefense.com.

We do not sell consultation details or use them to build advertising audiences. Information may also be disclosed as required by law, in response to valid legal process, to protect the site and its users, or in a business transition subject to applicable protections. Duties to clients and prospective clients continue to apply; this policy does not waive them.

Optional analytics, advertising measurement and session recordings

Google Ads, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity are blocked until you choose “Allow measurement.” One shared choice covers these tools. A previous allowance for Google Ads alone does not enable the newly added tools. You can decline and still browse, call or submit the form.

Google Ads and Google Analytics

If allowed, Google may receive your IP address, browser/device information, a sanitized page address, ad-click identifiers and cookie identifiers. Google Analytics measures page visits, telephone-link clicks and successfully accepted consultation requests. Google Ads receives successful-request and phone-click events with a random identifier to prevent duplicate counting. We do not send your name, email, phone number, message, selected matter, documents or case outcome to these tools. Automatic enhanced measurement, Google signals and user-provided data collection are disabled.

A phone-link click is not an answered call, consultation or retained client. Enhanced conversions, customer-list uploads and remarketing audiences are not enabled for this website. Advertising personalization is disabled and restricted data processing is requested from Google.

Google’s processing is described in its privacy policy and business data-protection information.

Microsoft Clarity

With your permission, we use Microsoft Clarity heatmaps and session recordings to understand how visitors use selected public marketing pages and improve the website. It can capture clicks, scrolling, page layout, page and clicked-link addresses, device/browser information and cookie identifiers. Microsoft also processes network information such as IP addresses. Recordings reconstruct browsing activity; they are not camera, microphone or telephone recordings.

We use Balanced masking, which hides numbers and email addresses; input fields and dropdowns are masked by Clarity. Clarity does not load on Contact, policy, underage-DUI or unknown pages, or on a page containing form fields. We do not send consultation details, documents or client identifiers to Clarity. Advertising-storage permission is denied for Clarity, and we do not connect it to Microsoft Ads or upload advertising audiences.

Microsoft may also use collected information for its own purposes under its terms, including product improvement, advertising-related processing and development of AI using nonpersonal data. Microsoft’s processing is not limited to acting on our instructions. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement and Clarity terms.

Changing your choice

Use at any time to allow or decline optional analytics. Withdrawal stops future collection by these tools, reloads the page to unload them, and clears their accessible first-party cookies. It cannot recall information already received by Google or Microsoft or delete cookies on their domains. Your choice is stored on this browser for up to 180 days.

Browser privacy signals

Global Privacy Control and a browser’s “Do Not Track” setting of 1 keep optional Google and Microsoft measurement off, even if this browser previously allowed it. Choices apply to this browser/device. Necessary intake, delivery and security processing continues. External services have their own controls.

Retention and security

Temporary encrypted payloads queued for Clio delivery are kept for no more than 24 hours and removed sooner after confirmed delivery. Email duplicate-prevention references and delivery status are kept for up to 48 hours. Intake bridge receipts and aggregate reporting metadata are kept for up to 30 days. These limits cover temporary delivery/reporting records, not the firm’s email, Clio records or operational lead history.

Google Analytics user-level and event-level data retention is set to two months, with reset on new activity disabled. This does not limit Google’s aggregate standard reports. Our Google Analytics first-party cookies are configured to expire after 60 days without renewal. Clarity retains ordinary playback data for 30 days; click/heatmap data and sessions labeled or favorited can be kept for nine months. See Clarity’s retention information and Google’s provider privacy links above. The 180-day privacy preference is separate from analytics data retention.

Calls to the firm are handled by telephone providers, including 800.com and Dialpad, separately from website analytics. Call timing, routing and connection metadata can be logged even when you decline website analytics. A website phone click does not prove that a call occurred or that a staff member answered. Our call-metadata reporting uses a separate 30-day retention period.

The firm keeps inquiry and matter records as reasonably needed for follow-up, representation, professional duties, legal requirements and record management. Providers have their own retention periods. Contact the firm about a specific record. Access controls, encrypted transport and technical safeguards are used, but no online transmission or storage is guaranteed completely secure.
